The LESF College Scholarship Program is designed to help children
of officers who have been killed in the line of duty achieve a better
life by receiving a college education. Upon the death of an officer,
that member’s children are automatically placed into the Scholarship
fund. An initial $1,000 contribution is placed into the fund in the
child’s name. Each year, any interest accrued, and the money donated
and raised by the LESF, is distributed equally between all children
in the fund. When a child of a deceased officer enters a college or
equal institution, the money in their fund, up to $50,000, can be used
toward tuition and books. Any money not used by the child’s 26th birthday
is automatically put back into the general fund and distributed equally
between remaining college funds.
Please
donate today, and help the children
of officers killed in the line of duty get a college education.
