Tactical Lifesaver

In 2010 the LESF, in partnership with Inspired Education, will release the Tactical Lifesaver Training Program.  The program will give officers a variety of training products that will allow them to master important life-saving skills.

Based on the military's Combat Care program, Tactical Lifesaver will be a series of short training vignettes  designed to give officers critical information they can use in the field to save their life or the lives of others.

Officer Safety Package

The  Officer Safety Package is designed to give officers quick and informative training on important subjects, such as hemorrhage control.  The package will include short training videos, training posters, and materials on the foundation.  Available in late 2010, the package will be free of charge to all law enforcement officers and available through the website.

Live Training

Dr. Thomas Stein and Dr. Nick Colovos, co-founders of Inspired Education, developed Tactical Lifesaver based on years of research, first hand experience and extensive knowledge in the emergency medical field.  In 2010, the LESF will bring their skills and techniques to several venues across the country.  Free of charge to any sworn law enforcement officer, the live Tactical Lifesaver training will give officers the chance to observe, learn and practice skills that could save a life.  Keep checking the site for venues and dates.

Interested in hosting a live training session?  Please contact program coordinator Briana White at bwhite@lesf.org.

The Kit

The Tactical Lifesaver course will be accompanied by a kit that includes all of the tools officers need to put to work the skills they learned in the course, live or digital.  The kit will include only the necessary items an officer will need to save himself or his partner during that critical time period when help cannot arrive.  Designed to be light, the kit should be carried with the officer at all times.

The Tactical Lifesaver program is currently under development.   Please check the site regularly for updates and developments.
